Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how CardMe (“CardMe”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you create an account, build a digital business card, exchange contacts, or otherwise use our website and platform at cardme.info and its related subdomains (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Who we are

CardMe is a digital business card platform. We let individuals and organisations create shareable online profiles, capture contacts, and optionally order physical NFC cards that link to those profiles. This policy covers both the people who create CardMe profiles (“account holders”) and the people who share their details through a profile’s contact-exchange feature (“visitors”).

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

How information is shared

Your CardMe profile is, by its nature, designed to be shared — any content you place on a public profile may be viewed by anyone you share the link, QR code, or NFC card with. Beyond that, we share personal information only with trusted service providers who help us run the platform, and only as needed for them to perform their function. These include our cloud hosting and infrastructure provider, our authentication provider, our payment processor, and our email delivery provider.

If you belong to a team or organisation on CardMe, certain profile and contact information may be visible to the administrators of that team for management purposes.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may disclose information where required by law, to comply with legal process, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public.

Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify the personal data associated with it, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, transaction records) for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes. Contact-exchange images are subject to a storage limit, and you can delete received contacts and their images at any time from your dashboard.

Data security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, update, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, or to request a copy of your data. You can edit most of your information directly in your dashboard, and you can permanently delete your account from your account settings. For any other request, contact us at the address below. Where Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) applies, we will handle requests in accordance with its requirements.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect how the Service works.

Children

The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

International users

CardMe is operated from Singapore, and your information may be processed and stored in Singapore or in other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to locations outside your country of residence.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes will be communicated where appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
